May 2023: Faculty lead for international collaboration visit to HAN University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), accompanied by three ECU undergraduate students.

May 2023: Elected to East Carolina University's Service-Learning Committee (3-year term) and Global Affairs Committee (1-year term).

March 2023: Appointed as Visiting Assistant Professor at Westfield State University as faculty lead for month-long study abroad to Prato, Italy.

November 2022: Planned, welcomed, and accompanied 30 members of HAN University of Applied Sciences visit to East Carolina University.

September 2022: Elected chair of the Global Affairs Committee for the Department of Construction Management at East Carolina University.

August 2022: Joined East Carolina University (ECU) as an Assistant Professor in the Construction Management department.

August 2022: Published an article with collaborators titled "Predicting Flood Damage Using the Flood Peak Ratio and Giovanni Flooded Fraction" in the journal PLOS One.

March 2022: Attended the Faculty Retreat on Roofing by the Foundation of the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) at Arizona State University.

January 2022: Invited to review a journal article for City and Environment Interactions.

January 2022: Invited to review a journal article for the Journal of Asian Architecture and Building Engineering.

November 2021: Co-mentored and attended the 2021 Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) student competition for region 1 in Albany, NY.

October 2021: Invited to review a journal article for City and Environment Interactions.

August 2021: Joined SUNY Alfred State College as an Assistant Professor of Construction Management in the Civil Engineering Technology department!

August 2021: Successfully defended Ph.D. dissertation titled "Methods for Scenario Modeling of Post-Disaster Temporary Housing" at Vanderbilt University!

July 2021: Completed the Autodesk Revit: Project Managers course with certificate.

June 2021: Vanderbilt University writes an article to spotlight my ongoing research using drone imagery for applications in disaster recovery.

May 2021: Completed the Autodesk Revit: Fundamentals for Structures course with certificate.

March 2021: Live interview with The Weather Channel on social equity in disaster relief and the role of drone imagery to evaluate recoveries over-time. 

March 2021: Interviewed  by the Nashville Public Radio (WPLN) for my project sponsored by The Curb Center at Vanderbilt University, which uses drone images to evaluate disaster recoveries over-time.

December 2020: Presented at the virtual annual meeting of the Society for Risk Analysis (SRA).

August 2020: Attended the NSF funded CONVERGE Publish Your Data! event and I am currently in the process of becoming a CONVERGE Data Ambassador.

April 2020: Completed qualification examination at Vanderbilt University to earn candidacy.

March 2020: Traveled with Dr. Hiba Baroud to Guatemala on a service trip funded by 100k in the Americas fellowship. In collaboration with Universidad del Valle de Guatemala we solved engineering dilemmas of a rural village.

May 2019: Received the Curb Public Scholar Fellowship to analyze the phases of natural disaster recovery using photographs and drone imagery to drive policy decisions.
